Mustn't... go... home! [04.23.02]

Greetings and salutations! For the time being I'm at school, in the classroom of one of my teachers, meandering around Melo. Do I have a 40-minute essay to write on Aristotle's "On Happiness," due tomorrow? Of course. Three articles to write for the newspaper by Friday? Indeed. Many pages of copy editing for Yearbook that need to be completed as quickly as my red pen can fly across the page? Oh yeah.

Yet here I stay, avoiding home, attempting to elude that virago known as my stepmother, as I know that I'll simply be forced to do homework, walk the dog, wash the dishes, eat my dinner, and, ultimately, not have any fun until I go to sleep. (Not to mention the fact that she's currently a bit incensed at my staying up until 1:00 a.m. last night to finish my essay, and has hereby decreed that I shall go to bed at 11:00 p.m. every night, including weekends, regardless as to whether I have homework to complete or not. Tough crowd, huh?) Blah.

I'll have a real entry for you later tonight (which I'll post while I pretend to do my homework -- mwahaha!), but as it stands I'm just dropping by to say hello and reassure you that I do still care about my fellow Melothespians.

Until next we meet, I bid you farewell. Adieu, all!
