Read this the tale of my despair... [01.31.03] [mood| pensive] Good eve to thee, friends and fellows! As the hour is late, I shall not tarry long, but rather simply share with you a quatrain I've written in the last few minutes (in the future, perhaps merely the first stanza of a longer poem) that I feel expresses the purpose and emotion behind my use of online journals or weblogs. It is a humble achievement, but I am nevertheless rather proud of the little bugger. Until next we meet, I bid you farewell. Au revoir, tout le monde! Of melancholic reverie. Upon these hallowed pages fair I bare my soul for all to see. [Exit Orpheum.] Note: you may have noticed that I am adopting the LiveJournal practice of stating my current mood while posting, as well as whatever music I am listening to at the time. This is mainly because I've discovered what a wonderful online journal LiveJournal is — I must say I'm impressed. Of course, Melodramatic is still my primary journal, but LiveJournal (LiveJournal: Orpheum) and Xanga (The Athenaeum: Chronicles of Erudition) are delightful alternatives. |
